Description
Now you can quickly and easily compute possible damage to surrounding areas! This slide rule has scales for weapon joules, area size, surface composition, body absorption rates, target distance and anticipated fines. Simply slide the six bars to determine how much damage you might cause. You'll never have to estimate chances of survival again; not from backsplash or from termination for excessive destruction of Computer property.

Too bad it couldn't calculate the damage of a slide rule repeatedly smashing over a jackobot's head. Not that I would do such a thing to Computer propoerty. Bots are my friends, honest.

ULTRAVIOLET clearance information
It takes several minutes and a successful Software check, but this device does calculate how much destruction would be caused by a given weapon. Of course, you would need to know the joule output of the weapon in question to get a true calculation, but characters are welcome to guess. Since The Computer rarely allows citizens to damage Computer property, excessively or otherwise, the last claim is dubious at best. Upon malfunction, the calculation falsly reports really low damage or really high damage.
We know--this doesn't screw with the player that much. But it does allow a good player to have some fun role-playing moments. 'Don't fire on that bot! I need to figure out your laser's joule output. Oh, and what's that bot made of? Looks like plastisteel, but could be plastitin or even plastiluminum. And how wide is this corridor, in centimeters? What about ....'
