Settlements

When you leave the confining corridors of Alpha Complex for the wide open spaces of the Outdoors, do not be alarmed. You are not alone. We have started many settlements in the Outdoors to welcome those who are ready to return to nature.

  • Rocky Hill Gorge Settlement: walk towards the setting sun (the giant ball of light above you) until you reach a big hole in the ground. Ring the bell beside the ladder before descending into the settlement to avoid unnecessary arrow incidents.
  • Ruined Reactor Farm: we have reclaimed the land from an outside fission reactor once used to power Alpha Complex. The land is extremely fertile and our crops are the biggest ever recorded by Sierra Club. The ground itself seems to welcome us with its unusual warmth.
  • Brownwood Tree Fort: you'll have to look up to find this settlement! Intrepid Sierra Clubbers have built homes in the branches of the giant brownwood tree. Follow the broken blacktop road until you see the welcoming glow of cooking fires set among the branches.
  • Gator Cultural Exchange Center: lucky Sierra Clubbers stumbled upon a village of gators, an intelligent animal species that lives in the water and on land! Join us in trying to communicate with these noble creatures to learn more of their culture; we have just learned how to get them to attack us!

All Sierra Clubbers and new members are welcome to the settlements, but please understand you must leave all technology behind. People who show up with their PDC will be stoned. (Note to Mystics--this is not the fun kind of stoned.) We hate to be drastic, but we need to protect the wonder of the natural world from our own devices.
